Over the years, GUESS? has repeatedly shown "giving back" is an integral part of the way we do business. Contributing positively to our community and the environment is so important to GUESS?, it was made part of the company's mission statement. Programs such as fundraising for breast cancer research, providing aid to Kosovo refugees, gathering supplies for victims of natural disasters, or purchasing toys for needy children during the holidays, show the GUESS? brand stands for more than simply a collection of products. It symbolizes our commitment to the people and groups with whom we interact daily. For our customers, it means creating innovative, high quality products. For our employees, it means advancing their professional development. For the community, it means supporting worthy charitable organizations and activities.

The GUESS Foundation
Established in 1994, The GUESS? Foundation is dedicated to positive change in the community. Careful attention is given to the numerous requests for financial assistance The GUESS? Foundation receives from non-profit organizations. The GUESS? Foundation partners with and supports many organizations, including those benefiting education, AIDS research and treatment, and the protection of the environment. Following are a few of the organizations GUESS? has supported:

Revlon Run/Walk For Women
On Saturday, May 12, 2001, the GUESS? Team of over 150 members participated in the 8th Annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women, one of the nation's largest 5k fundraising events. Over 70,000 participants gathered at the Los Angeles Coliseum to raise money for the fight against breast and ovarian cancer. To date, the Revlon Run/Walk has raised millions for cancer research, counseling, and outreach programs.

Los Angeles Children's Bureau
GUESS? works with the Children's Bureau of Los Angeles to provide toys for children who have been placed in foster care due to severe abuse and neglect. Each year, GUESS? employees sponsor approximately 250 children and provide them with a special holiday gifts.

Divine Design / Project Angel Food
Divine Design is a non-profit organization that receives merchandise contributions from top designers. The merchandise is later sold to the public at a considerable discount. Proceeds from the sale benefit Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that provides hot meals for homebound patients living with AIDS. Each year GUESS? donates merchandise to the event. In addition, GUESS? employees volunteer to work in a booth selling merchandise for this important cause.

Best Buddies
The Best Buddies program develops job opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. They have been successfully placing individuals in the entertainment industry and law firms throughout Southern California since 1989. GUESS? is the first company in the garment industry to participate in the Best Buddies program.

Fundraising Scrip Program
In December 1998, GUESS? launched an exciting new program designed to raise money for our schools. The GUESS? Fundraising Scrip Program allows schools to purchase Scrip (paper currency similar to a gift certificate) from GUESS? at a 10% discount off face value. The school can then resell the Scrip at full price. The difference in proceeds goes directly to raise funds for computer labs, school repairs, music programs, etc. Scrip can be used just like a gift certificate at any GUESS? Retail or Company Store. Initial response to the program has been favorable, and GUESS? is pleased to support excellence in education through this new program.
